A Parish Council planning meeting was held on the 17th March to look at the Junction 16 application in depth.
Minutes from the meeting can be found here (PDF).
The planning application for the proposed development at junction 16 has now been submitted. It can be seen on the South Northants Council website by clicking on the link below.
The application number is S/2016/0400/EIA.
Please take the opportunity to leave any comments you may have regarding the large development.
There have been challenges to the Harpole Neighbourhood Plan which may affect the areas adjacent to Harpole. To keep abreast of what is happening, please visit the Harpole Action Team website for updates.
Over the past few days there has been numerous cases of Fly Tipping within the Harpole area some of which has been dumped in broad daylight.
We have reported the incidents to SNC and they have cleared them within a couple of days but we need to stop this happening in the first place.
If you see anything suspicious please report it to the police asap on 101 and let the Parish Council know also if safe to do so please take photos where possible that cold be used as evidence.
Harpole now has Superfast broadband. We are now officially on the fibre network.
BT says we can now get up to 76meg, up from 2.
Please contact BT or your Broadband service provider to ask how you can take advantage of the new fibre network.
We would just like to make clear that one does not automatically get Superfast broadband just because it is available in the village. You have to ask your provider for it
The Parish Council have just received the following notification from SNC.
'Following consultation with customers about the Sunday Mobile Library Service, and to enable us to deliver a consistent and sustainable service, we are making some changes to the Sunday routes. We are merging routes as customers are telling us they would prefer later stops on Sundays. This is also more efficient use of resources, making longer routes on Sundays.'
There is a danger that we may in the future lose this service so we would encourage as many people as possible to use the library service to keep it going.
The Library service also offers, Information Points, Local enquiries, Council enquiries, Library Shops, Cards, Bags, Stamps, Toys, Calendars, DVDs, Puzzle books, Bus Pass Registrations, Children’s Books.
The new timetable from 1st March will now be the fourth Sunday of every month at the following places.
School lane 13:50 14:10
Carr’s Way 14:20 15:00
